What do you do when you get on the scale after two weeks of healthy eating and early morning exercise and STILL see no weight loss...
I do not know what YOU do...
But I...
eat two tubs of weight watchers ice cream
three WW toffee bars
cry
drink a big glass of cheap Pinot Gris
feel sorry for myself
and refuse to workout the next morning
I think I managed to eradicate every mentally and physically healthy aspect of my life in about 12 hours.
I really need an attitude adjustment...if the beach can't do it I fear I am a lost cause.
Take Care,

and my time is a piece of wax, fallen on a termite, who's chokin' on the
splinters

I tend to do the same thing. It's so frustrating and then it's so hard to get back on track!
I can understand your plight! I was doing the same thing before I joined Weight Watchers. And I'm not pimpin' for WW but I did learn that despite my "healthy" eating, I wasn't cutting my quantity as much as I thought!
Good luck!
(and get crazy with the cheese whiz!)
weight loss can be so frustrating. I used to live with a good friend of mine who focussed on it day in and day out, 2 or 3 times a day. I saw the negative affects the scale had on her self esteem and refused to get on a scale... until the past couple of years. but, I try not to get on it too often, afraid I will become obsessed. I know that when I lost 6 pounds in june I really watched what was going into my mouth. I thought I was eating well, until I added up all the bad stuff I was eating, when I wasn't even really hungy.
It's tough. But, you will get through it! Stay positive! :)
Beck is awesome.
Cut out the sugar! Even the WW stuff... its still junk food.
remember the scale is not an accurate way to track your weight loss. Depending on what you are doing it can be misleading and can be effected by Water weight gain and loss.. *Hydration or Dehydration can change scale weight by as much as 3-5lbs over night!!
Just stay consistent and keep working at it, that's what counts.
So what, you had some treats and wine.. Way to go. You probably had not had any in a while so it was deserved for the prior work. Dont beat yourself up over it..
Just get back out there and get back to doing what you do.
rockon`
:( - I completely feel for ya. Just get back on and don't think of the past. That's the best remedy to what happened!
Sadly, this is how I also respond to weight gain - with more weight gain. Toss in a little self-hate and dsestruction, and you've got the perfect recipe for some major setback.
But from everything that I know about weight loss and management, sometimes things start to even out, so there might be a week or two with little change.
I also agreew ith Alice - I had to actually write down everything I ate in a day to actually see that I wasn't actually doing myself any favors.
Hang in there Molly. One slip up doesn't equate to full blown disaster. So you dust off the cookie crumbs, get on the elliptical, and keep at it.
Yeah, I do pretty much the same thing. Why do we do this to ourselves?
From the Male viewpoint, weight loss sucks, and I've found that WW does work when you work their plan and follow directions, I should be listening to myself I guess...you can get over the hump...
Oh, yeah...sounds like the way I'd react. Only it wouldn't be WW stuff! Are you sure your scale is good? I know mine won't show loss or change at all, and then suddenly it's different. I really don't trust it.
